Drug abuse causes lost opportunities in careers, loss of income, serious cash problems, and a high likelihood of ending up in jail, prison, a hospital or worse.  Drug abuse, if not treated, causes violent crime, property crime and massive health problems.  When an abuser has all this stacked against them it’s easy to see why there is so much hopelessness. Their lack of hope is just another lie their drug of choice is telling them.
